valve steam sensors
Today I tried to change my tires and the guy at wal mart told me they cant do it because of the sensors in the valve steam…. He said they need a special tool to take them of. but to me it looks like all you have to do is take of the sensor with a wretched? Anyone know how they come of or if you do in fact need this tool??? Oh and its 3.75 to change a tire in wal mart.
well its $8 in walmart, and $55 at a tire place, im in school... thats $47 left for beer
... i would rather go to walmart. I had my tires done at a "professional druxler tire firestone" place that the dealer took the Z to because the dealer did not have the machine that would take 18” rim. Well guess what, 2 times I came in for new tires because of feathering 2 times I came out with my front tires scratched up. Then they denied all responsibility. I got them to paint 1 rim after there was a 7” scratch that no way in hell could have been curb rash. The so called professionals totally scratched my rims…

The valve stem is the mounting point for the sensor. All they have to do is loosen the nut on the outside of the wheel and let the sensor drop down into the tire then remove it like any other wheel.
