If you guys want silver post up in our color group buy thread (in vendor group buys) and if there is enough interest for a certain color (like there was for Royal Black) we will make the order.

I'd definitely be interested in a Hyperblack setup of these Dan, please PM me with details, offset and such and prices. Just curious, given the price I bet that they are not forged, but let me know as well,
Thanks,
Scott

So......if you know of a wheel/tire combo that won't break the bank, post up!(Pics too if you have any) Here's the criteria:
-$1500 max for wheels, tires, shipped to your door
-Must be 17" or larger
-Can't be heavier than the stock 17" wheels with tires
-If you are really good, some staggered setups as well
-No spinners please

you really should pick a wheel that you really want because in end you will be spending more money change wheel after wheel save up and get the one you want cause there is something new always go to come out thats better. At least you will still have that one bad *** wheel.
I was looking into the MB Motorsports wheels offered by Discounttiredirect also lately. I'm in the same boat as you. I daily drive the Z. I don't track it. I can't justify 3000 for volks, and i don't even want 19s, so...
So, basically we are looking for the same deal. I'm looking for a cast wheel, staggered setup, that are not heavier than stock. MB makes two wheels that fit the Z in staggered 18".
The Drifter is 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 with 28, 25 offsets. You can pick up a set for around $700 which is nuts. They even have a polished lip. Same size and offsets as the nismo (or very close). They weigh approximately the same as the 18" Touring wheels (even though they are wider). Hell, for that price I wouldn't even care if I bent one per year. Haha.
The other wheel, and the one I'm leaning towards, is the weapon which is 7 spoke with no chrome lip. You can get it in 18x8, 18x9 with 30 and 15 offsets. I called DTD on this one also and it weighs 23 lbs. for the 18x9, so I can only assume the 18x8 is 21 or so. I believe this is 2-3lb. lighter than the stock touring rims and about the same as stock 17s. It would allow for wider tires and they look pretty agressive.
However, I battle with the same deal you are. You can find used Rays Track rims for $1000 or so without tires. You can find Infiniti Rays rims for around $1500. So... I don't know what I'll end up doing.

The MB wheels are around 650-750 without tires, so you could definitely get into a set for under $1500. For me it's even a better deal b/c I'm going to throw my almost new stock rubber (225/245s) on until they are burned up.
I did some looking around and it looks like some of the Subaru guys are running around with these without complaints. They are a pretty new line, so who knows... I know nothing on their strength as mentioned, but unless you live somewhere with REAL $hitty roads you should be ok. And at $165 a wheel, it wouldnt even hurt to bend one now and then.
