Default Whats the deal with Nismos 18''?

Yeah, so I tried, but 19'' wheels are just too big. I want to get 18'' wheels, and it seems as if LMGT4s are the best. But why is this rim still so expensive?

Even the 19'' are going for $1800. Copy and paste:

I hope with the creation of the rota p45, the price on the 18'' will start to decline.

nismo wheels are made by RAYS...which also make volks racing wheels and are FORGED so that explains the cost..

Definitely get the 18" version of the Nismo rims. The size is just right in my opinion, and 19s would just be heavier for no reason other than looks. I love my 18" Nismos.

emotion Cr Kai is forged as well. Isn't it?? Also made in Japan. And it costs a bit less. And I don't care about rays/volk making those Nismos. I'm sorry but the LMGT4 has a lackluster design for be associated with volk/ rays. But I still think it looks the best for a Z.

I was just thinking that if 19's are going for 1800, 18's should be around 1400. But then again, I don't have any idea what I'm talking about.

no the Emotion CR kai is not forged...it is cast

you can "think" what you want, but pricing is the pricing. In the Rays/Volk lineup, 18's are usually around $200 a set less than 19's

oh...and why not support your site vendors? Yes yes, I understand the guys on ebay love to ***** stuff out for $20 more than they paid for it, but without sponsors, this site would not exist. I'm not saying to buy it from us...but at least support those who make this site possible

19's going for $1800 and your complaining? Thats a good price for Nismo wheels made by Rays in 19", you should see what others pay for 19's. I know I paid hundreds more for Limited Edition LE37's...

Looking into a set of the Nismo rims myself. Does the rear 9.5" wheel have any kind of lip on it? I don't want a huge, heavy 10.5" rim, but would like a bit of lip. Just haven't seen enough pictures of these at the right angle to be able to tell...

If no lip, then I might just have my stock Track rims widened like that one guy did; be alot cheaper. Overall, I want something that looks nice, but I don't want them to be too heavy.

See, now is it just the angle of the pic or something? That doesn't look like it has any more of a lip than the OEM Track Rays, which don't have squat for a lip. I'd like something with at least a 2" polished lip that looks good (preferably 5 spoke) and is under 20lbs per rim. Any suggestions?

The LE37's come with a polished lip. It's a forged wheel, and the 19's weigh about 20 lbs each. I believe the 18's are about 17 - 18 lbs. When I was buying rims, I was told you could get about 2 - 2 1/2 of lip out of those, but not much more, b/c they are one-piece.

Hmm, any good pics around showing decent lip on the LE37, then? I've heard they are light; just never thought they looked like anything special, but maybe I just haven't seen the right pics...
