Default Help Please!!! Tire Offsets!!

Hey I just got my new Volk Wheels in today from Cali and i ordered the 19x9.5and 19x10.5 wheels. I have an '03 Touring and plan on upgrading the brakes to the Brembo kit. Well the idiots sent me 2 wheels at 19x8.5 with a +27 offset and 2 wheels at 19x10.5 with +24 offset. I know the rear wheels will fit when i get the Brembo's, but will the front one's fit? If they do then i'll just keep them, rather than shipping them all the way across the country and having to wait another 3 weeks or so. Please anyone that can help i'd appreciate it....yagz

If they sent you the wrong wheels they should pay for return shipping and send you the correct ones to replace them and you should have no problems since as long as your original size/off-set combination was going to work with the brembos.

If they sent you 8.5's instead of your preferred 9.5's then it's their f$%# up and they should fix the problem by sending you the correct widths.

On the other hand, if you decide to keep the 8.5's then I think the offset might be Ok. Can you tell us what type of Volks they are as the offsets vary from style to style?

Who are you getting your brakes from, they can provide you with a template to fit the back of your wheel for clearence spacing, it is very easy to do, this will answer all your questions.

I got the Volk GT-C's, i think i'm already screwed though on the tire size as i got 245/35/19 on the front and 275/30/19 on the rear (on a 10.5 rim). They will correct the problem, it's just that the only reason i am worried is if it won't fit when i decide to upgrade to the brembo's. I haven't ordered them yet, but will be looking to in the near future.

oe brembo or what?
put it this way
its not the offset of width of the wheel that determines brake clearance but more about face/spoke
