Default Help! Rolling Fendors w/ 10.5" Rear wheels

I'm currently running some Volk GT-C's in a 19x10.5" +24 offset setting in my rears. I'm looking at putting the Eibach Pro Kit on to get it lowered just a bit and give it that finished look. I've been reading that some people have had to roll their rear fendors, however someone else was telling me that i may need to put negative camber on it as well even though the drop won't be more than an inch. Any advice/suggestions, i plan on putting a camber kit on when i do the drop as well, and i'm running 273/30/19 right now on the rear....thanks

Dude, with that setup you're fine. 10.5" +24 is conservative in my books. Depends how low you go--I'm lower than the Eibach Pro Kit, so its a different story, but in your situation you most likely wont need to roll them.

Especially with a 275/30, there should be no issues.

Good luck, and be sure to post pics. Also, welcome to the site.

+1, I went 285/30 zr20 in the rear on a 20x10 and never had any problems. Now I have the same tire stretched over a 20x11 34 offset and its a little close. But before I was not even close to rubbing, especially with the 24 offset. You should be fine. Although I do recommend addressing the camber if you plan on driving the car hard at all. You will see an iside wear pattern on the rears if you dont.

Are you talking about a 285/30 on a 10.5" +17?
Or a 285/35 on a 10" +17?

If you got away with both a 285/35 and a 10.5" +17, you must have had like -5 degrees of camber.

To the original poster: I think you should be fine. I'm running a 19x10.5" +29 offset wheel with a 5mm spacer (so effective offset is +24 like you), and use 275/35/19s with no problems. I'm also dropped on Hotchkis springs. Camber is close to factory spec (if I WERE to rub, I would just add some negative camber).

Thanks to everyone that has replied, I have one more question though, after the drop, how bad should i expect the tire wear to be, i don't drive crazy, i rarely if ever spin out or turn VDC off, pretty conservative i guess, but every once in a while like to get on it. On my old civic i had some 225/40/17 toyo's that lasted me almost 2 years, i think i only bought one set of tires on that car in over 3 and a half years........I understand that i will spend some $$ on tires, but i'm looking to replace them every 6-8 months......

Why are people so scared of dipping their feet in water?

The setup will be fine. It won't rub.

I went thropugh 285 30 20 pirelli pzero on my z with 2" drop in like 6000 miles, but toyo, or nitto would last a little longer, buy directonal tires, so at least you can flip them. I learned my lesson the hard way, now I use michelin pilot sport, and I expect at least 10,000 miles on them (ouch at $450 a tire)
have fun
