Default 19 inch tire size Recommendations help

I have picked up some Axis Hiro Wheels Silver ( see yellow Z below ) in sizes of 19X8.5 IN THE FRONT, 19X9.5 IN THE REAR what would be the ideal tire size for 19's in the rear. I was told that having the improper tire size will throw off the VDC. I was recommended to use 35 in the rear but not sure. What tire sizes are you chaps using with 19's that match my wheel size. When it comes to wheels and tires I don't know much so please help. The offsets according to Axis is the proper one they use of the yellow Z with the same wheels 20 front / 25 rear. I will be planning on mounting these this weekend so please chime in.

Yes, in order for the VDC to work properly, you should maintain stock diameter, which requires 35 height with 19s.

That is what I was told also to go with a 35 tire in the rear as opposed to a 30...hmm wonder what tire combos would work with these wheels

245/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear would fit perfectly. Exact wheel I am thinking of buying, in Anthracite color though.

The guy I bought these has a hookup with Axis so if you get them i can ask how much for the wheels but no tires..

+1 on the above listed recommendation.

Ed, your old rims were cool man (although maybe could use a spacer now that I think about it)! Oh well, hope you're happy with the new Axis

The bad thing about my old wheels was the offset of 35+ otherwise I'd keep them. The hiros I read had a bad batch out where the wheels cracked but the axis guys said they would replace no questions asked ..I hope

If you use a calculator such as this

http://www.dakota-truck.net/TIRECALC/tirecalc.html

you can learn more about tires than simply another member posting sizes.

Haha, can't get enough lip, huh Ed?

I am using 245/35 & 275/35 on my 8.5/9.5 but I plan to step up to 285 in the rears in the next change to close up some wheel gap. You sould be fine with 245/35 & 275/35 since that is as close to OEM specs as you will get.

245/35 and 275 or 285/35 is fine. I actually have 275/30's in the rear and they still work fine with VDC. I will be going with 35's in the rear next time though.
