Default Tire direction question

I did a search, but didn't find anything. I just got Volk GT-7's with Toyo T1R's. Which way should the thread face. I installed them with the >>>> part of the thread facing forward. Is this correct?

Thanks! Just wanted to make sure. I figured if I installed them wrong it would sound weird when driving.

They should say on the sidewall, either with arrows pointing towards the front, or actually say "rotation." I haven't seen the T1-R's yet, but every directional tire I've seen says which way to point them, in one manner or another.
