On a side note, i've always loved your car. Saved all the pictures you posted in this forum. You're an excellent photographer.

Black on black has been around forever. Don't worry so much about what trend is hot or not, as long as it looks good, people will appreciate it. And in the end, if black on black is what you want, you should get it, because you are the one paying and driving around on it.

I think black is kind of like Gunmetal of few years ago. Everyone was buying Gunmetal like back around 2000 or so, and although people may still buy it, I personally think it's played out.
Just like how there was/is a SURGE of people buying gloss black / diamond black wheels. I don't think they'll be "cool" forever, because as some of you guys mentioned, many cheap wheel manufacturers are putting out black wheels which makes them less exclusive. I still think it looks fine if it's an EXPENSIVE wheel in black (you can always discern good quality wheels from bad quality). But a lot of people nowadays are putting on "black wheels!" versus "Volk or HRE wheels in black" <--- (if that makes sense...basically people just want a "black" wheel not seeming to care about style/quality...)
Anyways, that's my take on it. Of course, most people here do seem to have good taste, so it's GENERALLY not the Z community I am referring to, but rather the ricers out there. Trends are always changing, so even if your wheels are starting to get played out, 10 years from now, they'll be the hottest thing on the market! Stepped lips and old-school style wheels are making a come back! (i.e., Work Meister)
BTW: My suggestion is keep the Gold!

IMHO, i think both look awesome and you cant go wrong with either.
but if it was my decision. i think the older you are the more you would want to veer towards the black on black. but if your younger, you could rock the gold.
i think black/black is more baller/classy and black/gold has a more boy racer feel. Def black/gold is the rarer combo and will turn more heads.
