Default Best tire size with Stock 06 wheels

I have an 03 with the 18 inch touring wheels. But love the 06 5 spoke wheels and plan on purchasing a pair, hopefully. I want to get a wider tire. The stock wheels size is 8/225 front and 8.5/245 rear , is this right, is it the same for the 06 wheels?
I might put some spacers on, and get a wider tire, I think that will look nice and clean. Should i go with the same 45 profile?

Other option is wait till i can get my hands on the G35 19 inch rays. .. love those too.

what do you guys think.

when I wear out the stock tires, I am going with some 245's on the front, and some 265's on the rear.

Yea the stock size is a bit slim i think...

I think I heard somewhere that the 06 has either 8.5 or 9 inch fronts and 10 rears. If so you can go as wide as 265 front and 305 rear.

so 20 mm wider for stock 06 350z wheels? that about right

really, the Grays, have 18 front and 19 rear. I thoguth it was 19 all around
so 19 all round with wider rear would be perfect, but i figured the OEM would be same size all around, does anyoen know for sure. And those wheels are so much harder to find!

You said yours has 18" Touring wheels, but is the Z's trim level Touring? Reason I ask is because if it is, then you have VDC and with VDC you MUST maintain OEM overall diameter (wheel+tire) or your VDC gnomes will get miffed. Therefore, if you do go with G35 19" wheels all around, your tire height will have to be significantly lower to maintain OEM diameter. That may not always be advisable (you know, potholes, ride quality, etc.)

if you up and inch in rim size, you get a 10 mm lower profile tire to keep the correct diameter. (or was it 5 mm)
like 18 with 45 mm tire
so 19 with 35 mm tire....
is that not correct. Can someone tell me. And yes I have a touring with VDC

That's not necessarily true. I have an O3 Touring model with VDC and I run a tire that's 4% faster than stock in the rear and VDC doesn't care in the slightest. I also used to run equal sizes all around when I had snow tires on my car and no problems there either.
