I ran RT-615's on 17x9" MB Motorsport wheels most of last year. 255/40's on all 4 corners. Just remember to turn OFF the TCS. MUCH better than the Kumho MX I ran the year prior. Much stiffer sidewall, more like OEM Bridgestone's. A bit better on the track, but they over heat within 1 lap......the same lap I'm warming up the brakes & fluids. Then they get as greasy as OEM shoes. Forgot to mention I ran about 10 HPDE's with this set-up. A great street tire, probably a good autoX tire, but only so-so on a road course. I'm getting RA-1's for this year, mounting on MUCH lighter wheels!

What pressure were you running? These tires should last much longer than one lap!

I ran 40psi cold and I could do 30 minutes sessions with a couple of "hot" laps here and there. Overdriving them immediately made them greassy and overbraking from 110mph too. These tires a still much better than any street tires.

I ran them near 40-41 psi, HOT. This gave me the most even tire temps. I guess I need to plead guilty to over-driving them.

So, say with mostly street driving (some agressive, maybe a few canyon runs) and the occasional track or auto-X visit, how many miles can I expect to get out of a set of these tires?

I got 7K miles out of my RE040 with average abuse. Consensus seems that the RT615 is slightly better than the RE040...

so I guess the RT615 will last between 7-12 depending on how crazy you go on them. Longer if you never abuse them

OMG, If you don't have these tires, GET THEM!

Just got my Falken RT-615s installed on my Nismo rims yesterday and all I can say is WOW. Grip and steering response is absolutely amazing compared to the Dunlops I was running on and I haven't even broken them in yet. I went with 235/40-18 and 255/40-18 and they fit the nismo rims perfectly; they do not look stretched at all. In fact, after comparing specs and taking some measurements, the Falkens appear to run wide; these tires are actually equivalent in size and tread width to 245 and 265 tires in other brands. I'm very pleased with them; they look great, perform great and are pretty darn cheap compared to other tires. I can only assume my experience with them will get even better once I get some miles on them and start testing their limits.
