Default Will this setup work: 245/40/19 and 275/40/19?

I am wondering if its possible.
I have 8.5 wide in fronts and 9.5 wide for the rears.
Offsets are : +23/+24

I don't mind the tire look cause the roads here are crap. Ive already experienced wheels being bent.

yes it will work. But why???

Your speedometer will be off, and it'll make the car higher off the ground than it already is, and when you bottom out the struts, you might scrape the inside fender lining.

So why?

your car will get significantly slower... it will make for huge moment of inertia increase and longer final drive.

I found 35 series does nothing for the roads im driving on.

i checked out that the G35 19 inch wheels are running 40 profile tires.
225/40/19 and 255/40/19.
maybe this could work?

Don't do that - Less width, same sidewall height. Sidewall is a ratio, not a fixed number.

If you really want to step up to 245/40 and 275/40, then go ahead. Most of the issues raised are valid, but won't make that big of a difference. You could also run 255/35, 285/35 which would give you a bit more sidewall.

pretty much a 35 series profiles is not 35mm in height.. it 35% of the width of the tires.. so if you use a wider series tires it would be thicker sidewall..

I got 245/40/19 fronts and 275/35/19 rear. if u like check it out. its at the bottom of the page. I have Tanabe gf210 which lowers the car 1.o front and 1.4 rear. in the front, it barely fits a finger between the tire and the fender and it does not rub at all. I personally wanted to go 35 up front but I got a great price on the package. It looks good to me.

Are you having any "SLIP" light issues at high speed cornering?

No problems with the SLIP light whatsoever. Looks sweet. The diameter of my tires are a little bigger compared to stock.About 19mm which is still less than the recomended 2.5% +/-difference.The offsets on the Ruff is 20 all around.I was told that they weigh the same or a little more than the factory 18" touring wheels.Sits flush with the fender.looks simply amazing.I think 20 offsets are the best for the Z.

This will compare different tires to stock to let you know how they will be different.

As far as the widths - 245 and 275 work really well on the Z. If you go larger on the diameter of the tire, it will make your wheel look smaller! And as people have stated, screw up your speedo, and your gearing.
