If it is stock tires, get the H&R 25mm spacer for the back wheels. Right now I am contempleting 15mm for the front wheels...
PS: The 25mm spacer mod at the rear tires is one of the best looks mod I have done, the car looks so aggressive. The rear tire doesn't look like it is hiding in a cave now. I definately recommend the spacer.

Im guessing your car isnt lowered (I read your sig) I wanted to know if your car rubs at all with the spacers. I thought about doing this on my Z(stock 18'' wheels), but didnt know if it would rub with or witout lowering. Do you have any pics??? I would like to see how it looks, I know what you mean by the tire hiding, its tucked in way too much. Thanks.

It might be because the G35c has different body dementions...
With my H&R 25mm spacer in the rear, I still think I could use another 5mm to make it perfectly flush.
For the original poster, Whatever brand of spacer you get, make sure they are Hubcentric.

Agreed, 25 looks too far out. 20 will put it flush. I have 15 on my rear Rays wheels and 10 in the front, which pushes them out to within 1mm or so of where the Nismo wheels sit. Looks and handles great.

No, it isn't lowered, but my friend has the same spacer and he had his car lowered 0.7 inches and it was good. I will be lowering it the same measurements at a later date.
I will be installing a painted lip this weekend and will see how much clearance I have before deciding on lowering the car.
After I put the lip on and take some more recent pics, I will take closer pics of the rear wheels to show you how close the spacer makes the rear wheel flush to the body.

I have a 2006 Z (with the standard 35th anniversary wheels) and have been considering some wheel spacers to push the wheels out, but I thought I remember reading that using spacers will detriment the quality/durability of the car's suspension? What I didn't read is the reason why. Can anyone shed some light on that? Also by using spacers, I would think you have less stud sticking out through the wheel...the original stud length minus the spacer thickness, to be exact. Is it really safe to have the lugnuts holding the wheel on with that much less thread engagement?
I'm trying to convince myself that I won't have any problems with this relatively inexpensive mod. It sure is a whole lot cheaper than buying new wheels, and after the car is lowered it should look badass. What's everyone's opinions on these issues?

I think after 15mm they are considered adapters.
I had Art at motorsport technology custom make mine. 25mm in the front, 35mm in the back(yes for a widebody)
Price was awesome and they are hubcentric on both sides. Their # is 909-514-0091 if anyone wants to go the custom route

So what is the answer? I also have 18" Track Rays and want to push them out but not too far. So far it sounds like 15mm for the front and 20mm for the rear look best, is that correct?

For pure looks, yeas, that's probably what you want. With my setup, 10mm F, 15mm R, it looks good and I'm happy with it, but they could go out a little more. I wanted mine to sit where the Nismo rims do to go with something that was designed with handling in mind and not pure looks. Not to say that going out more will be worse for that, but I just wanted to be safe.
