Default Wheel Width Stagger and TCS

Ok...I did some searching and found a couple of threads talking about diameter stagger. That makes sense to me that removing the diameter difference would mess with the TCS.

However....I'm thinking about trying to run a 8 or 8.5 wheel on all four corners...and had someone tell me that the TCS would be unhappy about that. Now assuming that I kept the overall diameters the same as stock (or close to it), why would the TCS have issues (ie different diameters front to back...but the same width)?

I don't know what you've read.

But TCS only looks at speed differences. So only the overall diameters counts.

Tire width doesn't affect TCS.

That's what I was thinking...but I wanted to check on here to see if there was any truth to that. For the life of me I couldn't think of a reason why that would have any effect.

VDC/TCS is unaffected by wheel size. If you want, put 17 inch wheels on the front, and 19 on the rear. Wheel width? Any wheels that fits inside the wheel well is fine.
