Angry What can this be?? (PICS)

So about 1 week ago I received my wheels from iForged. After my first wash this is what happened to my wheels. I only used soap and water to clean the center piece which is gunmetal and i used mothers billet aluminum polish to wash the lip. The lip is fine but look at the rest of the wheels. They have spots all over them making them look darker. Anybody know how I might be able to fix this or even if there is a professional in the nyc area that might be able to do so. The wheels are brand new and iForged told me they cant do anything about it, this is why their customer service is known to be like ****. Please any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Ouch! "IFORGERY" at its finest I wish you luck with the problem. I would suggest contacting the dealer you purchased the wheels from first and work your way up the ladder if they cannot help you out.

either soap or water spots. try washing them again or go to the website and they tell you how to clean them.

Did u happen to clean them when the wheels were warm/hot? The rainbowying is usually caused by that. Same thing happen to the Volks.

I would try a gentle polish on it. Maybe something like Mothers paint cleaner if they are painted (can't tell from the pics) or Mothers mag wheel polish if it is not painted. Both products are EXCELLENT at removing oxidation and such. Thats what that looks like to me from the pics.

try a wax???

a wax is just a sealant, it wont do anything but make the finish shiny, whatever the condition of the surface underneath

what u need to use it a very light abbrassive. Something like Poorboys SSR1 or Poorboys Pro Polish on a smooth microfibre pad. If you can find it, Menzerna Final Finish is a better alternative with imo the highest quality abbrassives

then go over them with a wax to seal the finish

Try taking a claybar to it.

Damn, I'm glad I went with Work Wheels! IForged is notorious for this!

Ok so today I officially found out that my wheels will need to be repowdercoated. The person that detailed my car must have put some acidic substance and ruined them but was not man enough to tell me. I went to Detailing Dynamics today and they tried in every possible way to help me. Nothing would take it out. These guys are great and know exactly what they are doing. They do sick work and after looking at my wheels they were able to tell me the bad news right away. Worse than that I will have to most likely fix them on my own because I have no proof of the detailer messing them up. I will powdercoat them anyway as soon as possible but wanted to say thanx for the help and comments. Anybody know about how muc it can cost to redo the powdercoating? TIA.
