Default Looking for your opinion...(using different tires front/back)

So my 18x10.5/9.5 TE37s will be in early next week and I go to look at picking up some tires (BFG KDW-2's). Well the rears (295/35) are backordered about 3 months. So I go look at the Kumho MX's and the fronts (265/35) are backordered 2 months. So what are you guys' opinions of running mix and match tires (Kumho rear, BFG front)?

I am also looking at a few sets of tires on ebay that have about 70% tread left (Goodyear Eagle F1's for the rear and Goodyear Eagle GS-D3's for the front)

....and yes, I am set in my ways about these tire sizes.

....and no, I will not consider a tire that is new and more expensive than the KDW-2's or MX's

Mixing tires is OK, but the results are uncertain. Consider that tires are tested on all four wheels. I wound not mix, say, summer performance and all-season. Summer performance and summer performance will be OK.

kdw2 = Great tire in the rain, good dry grip
MX = Crapy tire in the rain, excellent dry grip

Consider wearing a diaper if you drive in the rain with that combo...

Kidding about the diaper, but do be careful!

Thanks...how about the Kuhmo MX's in the rear and the Dunlop Sport Maxx's in the front??

And would it be safe to assume it is better to have a more rain friendly tire in the front than the rear? I know I would rather control the rear end sliding than the front end not turning.
