Tire Decision thread...please vote
OK I can't count how many which tire threads there are but I'm still at ends about what to buy. I have heard great things and was pretty much dead set on BFG KDW2s. But I hear good things about Falken RT-615s and FK-451s. Never having owned a Falken tire I'm lost on their peroformance. I am dead set against Toyo T-1Rs or T-1S having ridden in a car with those.
SO my question is what tire should I look at?

KDW2s aren't that great at all... i had them previously and the sidewalls are extremely soft and they are quite noisy at speeds. don't get these if you autox.
Forget being able to hear yourself actually think while driving if you have Azenis, but boy do they grip.
451s are pretty good, but my friend has had them on his wrx for about a month and they already have a tear after only 2 autox meets.
so i vote michelin PS2!!!
i have those now, and damn they are good (but expensive)

Well these are my daily driver tires. I'd like them to last a while at least a year that is (20k miles). The S-03s I have are about dead and have lasted for 20k miles so I'm hoping for the same out of the next ones. Of course I still want some grip from the tire. But I do have a set of track wheels and tires so they wont be raced on at the track.

I have no point of reference for the other tires on that list, but I know the BFG were great on the track for me. Good grip and they didn't melt like some guys' tires.

No complaints about driving them on the street either.
