offset and tire question
After spending countless hours researching offset and tire sizes and not finding anything...whats the fattest tire i can use on the front with a 18x9.5+12??? rolling and pulling is a given...i plan on lowering the car a good 1.5 soon so take that into consideration...thanksss again
i have 9" front's with a 26 offset, and they rub the fender (granted my car is slammed and i have good camber). your setup is 20mm further out than mine. it will work if your car is not lowered, but it will look silly. i would run a 255 on it, it should stretch enough. i don't understand why you would run a 9.5" inch rim to put a 245 or 255 on it though? just to say you have a 9.5" front?

I have 19/9.5 with a + 19 offset in the front. I have 245/35s on it, a bit of a stretch but not all that bad with BFG and I' lowered about 1.7 or so with Tanabe NF210. Only rubs with the wheel turned and going up a steep incline. I haven't modified my front fenders in any way.
I'm actually consdering 265/30, but that may be pushing it.

Food for thought;
The car is supposed to have a staggered Height because of the VDC/TCS system.
thanks guys...wheel size is the same all around...my cars stock height now with coils on the way...lemme slap on some cheap 255s see what theyre like then shred em up then move my way up...its all trial and error i guess
trial and error if you will, but straying too far from original circumfrence will wreak havoc on your tracion/skid control systems as pointed out. Handling will be unpredictable too.
Race cars vary tire pressure by less than 1 PSI to change handling dynamics and your change is much more radical than that. Unless your depth of knowledge is huge, it could be an expensive trial and error period.
A reputable tire store can help. They will have circumference data by tire brand and size so you can minimize the risk. I've seen it on this forum also if you hunt a bit.
Good luck!
