Talking HRE Order received

Here are a couple of pics of my new HRE 547 wheels. F 19X8.5 & R 19X10. The photos do not do them justice.

Default chunky

Those look real chunky... hope they don't weigh too much

NICE rims

I think this confirms my love for i-forge - close to the same looks - custom built and a whole hell of a lot less expensive.

Great looking wheels, but man, do they look like SSR GT3's. I bet you spent double the money for them too.

Actually, the GT3 looks like the HRE (the 547 was introduced in '98). Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!!

and I bet HRE did a much more aggressive offset (or custom offset) instead of some generic offset.

well when were the GT3's introduced 98 1/2, I know it was dam close and I can tell ya HRE didnt come up with that design either. Besides, if you asked the average car buff what they were they would probly tell you GT3's since they are one of the most popular aftermaket wheels out there.

Oh, so thats worth double or triple the money, give me a break. I'd rather have the proper offset. Rod, stand up and releave the pressure off your brain. BTW, "350z know it all" = 350z dumb ***.

I can assure you that HRE innovated the "ball cut" contour that the assembly hardware sits in- this is VERY different from the GT3.

Some have commented that the GT3 looks "too fragile" on bulkier cars like a Lexus GS or Mustang (due to the narrow spokes)- I happen to like the GT3, but would only put it on a few select cars. For my tastes, it is a bit 'soft' looking for an angular car like the 350Z. If you like it, and car get it in offsets that work, do it!

Also, the HRE will accommodate 6-lug Viper and 5x130 Porsche bolt patterns, the GT3 will not. To be honest, the Viper and Porsche are more of HRE's market, so no offense taken.

btw, I am HARDLY a know it all, just look at my threads, many involve asking questions.

BUT I do know that atleast "custom" means that you can build any offset you want, so if you prefer the stock offset, you can have it.
