Volk GT-S thread
I agree with you on attempting it with Vinyl but..............I live in Hawaii
There is no reputable Vinyl shops here, and even if there maybe 1, I guarantee they would charge an arm and a leg per rim
If it was 10 dollars no problem, but not in Hawaii... Prices are marked up high.
IMO the easiest way is to dismount the wheels and lay them down (on a towel or something obviously), wash them down with Joy or Dawn to get any residue off the tires, and just start laying down the stripe.
You can kinda push the vinyl with your thumb to make it completely straight, it's really not that bad.
Anyway, the car looks great either way. Vinyl is really cheap, especially if you get it online.
After 6 months of placing my order, I just got my set Diamond black Gts a couple of weeks ago.
I would like the rear to look fat and meaty so I went with 305/30/19 michelin ps2 pilot tires in the rear and 265/35/19 in the front. Has anyone ever played with this setup?
I'm assuming that 305 tires with a +18 offset is not going to get me that flush look. Am I correct in assuming this? My alternate choice is to go with 295/30/19. From researching this thread, It looks like this could be done with a little fender roll. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I didn't have a chance to drop it off, but also didn't want to go through the wasteful labor charges if it doesn't look right. Anyhow, I don't think anyone has gone that wide with this wheel. If I am the first I will let you all know how it looks. Always been a fan of the Volks Gts, can't wait to put them on.

i still need to put that wing , i want coils and some brides too haha
