Default TSW Thruxton 20s offset opinion need...HELP

So I took my 2003 touring to discount tire today for some new rims and decided on the Thruxton 20s..8.5 front and 10.0 rear. I have been recommended by members on this forum to do +20 offset all around..another member recommended +20 front and +35 rear..however, discount tire told me that TSW recommends +40 front and +35 rear..

im planning to run 245/35/20 front and 275/35/20 rear

what do u guys think is the best offset to fit my 2003 Touring. I don't want to roll fender and want to avoid any sort of rubs..

thanks

I'm runnin' 20" Thruxtons on my G, but with +20 front/+35 rear and do not rub. I'm even thinking about putting 10mm spacers on the rear. I wouldn't use the offsets that they're recommending.

Whatever you do...DO NOT LISTEN TO THOSE OFFSETS!!!!! If you do then you will be making the same mistake that I did. I got these rims almost 2 years ago, no one really had them on the Z yet, and I was not all that knowledgable about the offsets. I got them from Discount Tire and they recommended the same offsets to me that they did to you. I can tell you right now that those offsets will be madly tucked in under the fender, even morre than stock (supposedly TSW/Discount Tire was recommending offsets that matched closest to stock..YEAH RIGHT)

Trust me when I tell you go +20 all around. No doubts in my mind. I had to add spacers and I am now even +10 on the rears and +15 on the fronts. They are just about flush now.

Oh yeah by the way, they are a great rim for the price!!!!

For sure...Do not listen to Discount's offset recommendation. The only thing is that 275/35/20's might rub with +20 depending on how low you are.

might want to let us know what price you are paying before you order, as we keep these in stock

and yes, those recommended offsets are horrible
