Default 20 inchers I need some help

Those of you guys rockin 20 inches what size tires are you running? I have done some searching and it seems to vary, I've seen people having trouble running 255/35 and 285/30. What works for you? What doesn't rub with a slight drop?

I really like the Axis Matrix 20x9 and 20 x 10.5, just not sure what rubber to look at. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

255/285 will work even if you drop more than 1".

Matrix is nice. Deep lip. Good choice.

Check under Discount Tire Direct, they have the combo for around $2250 or $2300 (tire and wheel). BTW, don't get Toyo tire. BGF better.

I didn't have any issues with the VDC...I have more issues with the stock 17s than I did with the 20s. You know you can always install the KPTech VDC module...NO MORE VDC!

I had the 255/285 setup with 30 profile (8.5 front and 10 rear). No issues for me in my G coupe (I did not have a drop though). If you are ever weary, just roll the fenders.

call em back, I had the same set-up and did not like the set-up one bit. Either go with 285/30 or 275/35 for the rear...

I am not good on tire size.. But what would that tire size difference make for the rear??

How about this for tire sizes?

245/35R-20 Front
275/35R-20 Rear

For 20x 9 and 20 x 10.5

More tire, less gap, less dings on your rims, looks better

Those tires will be very stretched.

I have Nitto 555's on Maya GR5 20x9 front on 255/35 and 20x10.5 rear on 285/30 and my rear tire is stretched too much for me.

I'm looking for some 295's or at least 285/35's.

What do you mean "stretched"? Before I bought my tires I asked specifially on this board what size to get.. smh.. I havent mounted my tires to my new rims yet.. But I will have to make do with them either way now.. As long as there low profile and fit I will be happy.. If there is a gap I will just lower the car like I planned to anyway..

Stretched is when the rim is wider then the tire and the tire's sidewall isn't vertical. It leaves your lip vulnerable for curbing.

Oh I see what your saying.. But seems like if its not "stretched" look, then you would get the "bubble" look. Where the tire bubbles out over the rim. I want the squared look. Not sure if this makes a difference...

So i guess the best thing would be for the rim and tire tire to be edge to edge straight..

Perfect, I want a stretched tire. I think Axis Matrix with these tire sizes will look sick! Well I hope so anyways.

I was running 255/35 285/30 on 20x8.5 and 20x10 and had some problems with my TCS. My Z would cut out gas and I was like a sitting duck in the middle of the freeway . So I went with 245/35 275/35 that fixed the problem but It kind of gave me the streched look in the rear. So if you go with 275/35 with 10.5 its going to look real streched-IMO.
