Question Wheels Offsets For Work S-1

I am planning on running Work Meister S-1 wheels: 19x9.5front 19x11rear and was aiming for the most aggresive look and with minimal fender rolling. What offset do you reccomend? I am up in the air about tire size but I want to keep the VDC working. I read up on the Work Meister threads but no one had a solid anwser. I do not want to rub. Thanks in advance for any HELP.

What are your goal (s) for the car, and may I suggest that you list them in the order of importants.
If it is just looks, than that is fine, but do you also want maximum grip for straight line, or do you want to be able to improve the braking of the car, or do you want the car to be able to drift, ...
This will help us - help you get what you want.

UPDATE: REARS WILL BE 10.5

I am going S/C and I pretty much want grip for straight line and nice windy roads. No drifting or concerns about braking, I dont like stopping anyways.

sorry for the lack of info.

with 19 x 10.5 et23 rear you will be fine you can run 295/35/19 no prob
with 19 x 9.5 et24 front you can run 265/35/19
for straight line you want as much tire as possible
for good handling you don't want a crazy stagger like 245/35 front and 295/35rear will create tooo much understeer
i'd do 265/35 front and 285/35 rear off the top of my head there are couple of tires you can run bf kdw's and advan s4's
good luck
hope this helps

I guarantee you will rub endlessly with 19*10.5" et23 with 295's You need a 29 or 30 offset. Rolling the fenders will help though

The rim offset cant be changed. Is this going to be a bad offset? I want wide tires for traction. Can I fit proper tires on them without messing up the VDC? I do not want to rub but I dont know who is right. BUMP for more input.

265/35 front and 285/35 rear Is this the best and widest size tire for the rim and offset?

PLEASE HELP!!

So now I found some 225/40/19 fronts and 275/35/19 rears. These are the only tires I could find with matching tread patterns and with max width. They are Bridgestone Tires and I hope this set up will fit well. Thanks guys. What do ya think?

I would say 275 out back is max and 245 is max for your front. Your VDC will be happy with this set up as long as you match the stock diameter as close as possible.
I agree with 350zteve, you will rub with a 295 unless you go with more offset in rear. I have 33 offset on my track wheels and have no rubbing issues with 295's.

You are going to have massive understeer with these tires, good for straight line, but bad when you want her to turn. Also, when you get more hp, you need to increase your braking since your car will be able to achieve higher speeds faster, so you want more meat up front.

245/35/19 and 275/35/19 size gives you a good amount of tires to choose from.

i went with nitto neo-gen in those sizes cuz they are decent but cheap tires
and i know this is rice but the tread looks cool
the complete set is like $758 shipped total at discount tire direct

next time around i'll def run 265/35/19 front and 285/35/19 rear
(search tire rack they have those as a matching front and rear set, but they are not cheap)

b.t.w. the reason why i said 295/35/19 on et23 would be cool cuz i've seen 285/35/19 on et25 with lots of room to spare

225/40/19 front will imho look terrible on 9.5" rim
and like mooddude said it will create lots of unpleasant understeer

On my work's I have...

19x9.5 +25 on 255/35/19 Dunlop SP9000s
19x10.5 +29 on 285/35/19 Dunlop SP9000s

Never rub, about as low as you can reasonably go. Which Bridgestone's...

OKIE DOKIE!! I thinks I found the mostest bestest set up yet.

255/35/19 BFG KDW2
285/35/19 BFG KDW2
All for about 1000 bucks. Do we all concur that this is the best possible ie widest and most aggressive setup I can run with 19x9.5+24 and 19x10.5+23? I just want to check again before I order from tireack.com. Thanks guys.

Those will rub in the back. If your car is not lowered, it wont be too bad, but once you lower it, you will rub big time unless you roll the fenders.

I have the option of +25 in the rear instead of +23 offset. This would be better for me wouldn't it? Thanks I might be ordering today.

Yes, 25 will provide a bit more clearance.

If it is +25 instead of +23 will it look less aggressive? I dont understand. I thought +25 would push it out more. I want the best looking setup, soooo
+25 or +23. I am rolling the fenders.

The higher the positive offset, the more it tucks the wheel under the car. I don't know if you can even tell with the naked eye much difference in a 2mm offset change.
