Default aftermarket wheels w/ stk air prssr sensor

anybody enlighten me, my first z and bawt 19's havnt mounted them yet. will the stock air pressure sensors in the valve stems fit my new wheels? or if i dont use them , which doesnt bother me either way, will the annoying idiot light illuminate on my dash showing a problem w/ air pressure?

It depends. You left out one important detail - what kind of wheels?

The sensors fit a lot of one piece wheels like the Volk LE/TE or the NISMO LMGTs. They fit some multi-piece wheels but it depends on the brand and type. It's all based on the location and direction of the valve stem hole.

If you can't make them fit the valve stem hole, then you can use the banding method of mounting them. See the sticky post at the top of this forum for more details.

The light only shows up when you drive for a long period of time without them, I think it's like 45 minutes or maybe 45 miles. Otherwise, you probably won't ever see it.

depends on the year Z you have...

some of them the light never comes on if the pressure sensors are not presant...

some of them the light come on solid after 45 minutes if the pressure sensors are not presant...

more detail to your car / wheels / etc etc the better answers you will get...

Default air pressure sensors

hi, aah, the whls are speedy whls, the envy style. cars an 05, i honestly think the sensors will fit or be damn close. gonna get tires next mth so have some time to weigh my options.so if theyre close i'll just lathe down the nut that goes over the stem a mm. it looks promising, but if i doesnt fit i was thinkin bout mounting all 4 in my spare tire, band or what ever. do you thing the 60psi in the spare will show a promp for the tires being over inflated? dont i come up with some good fricken questions! thanks for your help dude. oh one more ,changing blinker bulb without taking bumper off, to remove the headlight ,possible?

ok so here is a picture on how the TPS sensors are in the wheels...

You can see on the multi piece wheel that the sensor just sticks out and will be snapped off when putting the tire on...

How the TPS is mounted on the OE wheels or single piece wheel...

Multi piece wheel...
