Default what do u think about these MB wheels?? (from discount tires)

hi all (i searched),

still looking for wheels and i came across these "MB drifters" from discount tires. http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...bp=&vid=009840
front: 18x8.5 offset 28, rear: 18x9.5 offset 25.

i was wondering if anyone has these and what do u all think of these wheels? i think it looks nice, but i cant really tell how deep the dish is. does anyone have pics of these w/ diff angles?? anyone have them on their z's??

Lots of people run MB Motoring wheels for track use. Those are a pretty good fitment but they won't have a big lip if that is what you are looking for. All in all a pretty good wheel for the price. I think these are new - I have never seen them on a Z although they might be out there.

I giggled.

I figure they'd be a nice track wheel. But I'd want something wider. 8.5in wide is what I run up front, in the rear I have a 9.5 and I still wish I had more width.

So if you're runing 18x8.5 all around, you might wanna keep that in mind.

Thats like putting Axis wheels on a Lamborghini...even though they may look ok and not have any problems its just something that you don't do. Your wheels should reflect the quality of your car and a 350Z is not an Neon .

Well put.

But to each his own, since each person has a budget.

In the grand scheme of things though, like said above, you get what you pay for.

Well, I don't agree. Granted Volks and the like are quality wheels, we don't drive $100,000 cars. Our Z's and G35's run in the $30grr range. I have the MB Motorsport Competition wheels for daily driving and they are good rims. Relatively light, wide at 9.5 and the quality is better than their price would suggest. In the end, it's up to personal accounts and taste.

I had a set of MB Motorsport Weapons on my old STi and they are pretty good wheels. Not too heavy, but not necessarily really light weight. They are actually rebranded A-Tech wheels that are made in Japan. I paid less than $1000 wheels/tires/lugs/rings/shipping for 18s though...

Here's a few pics of my buddy Steve at Motorsports Ranch during ZCON.

Hope this helps.
