Default No more Bridgestone S03?

I've got two trashed rear s03's. The fronts look fine, but I can't find new S03's anywhere. I'm assuming they're discontinued. Is that true? I'm just running on stock 18's.
I really hate mixing tires and I don't want to buy 4 new ones. Any suggestions?

Justin

Tirerack has S0-3's... but they don't have them for our size..

you can go with the RE090's Pole Positions...

on my car i have RE090 Pole Positions up front and S03's in the rear

I believe the RE050A Pole Positions are the replacement for the S-03s. There is an RE960A/S Pole Position but it is an All-Season Performance tire.

No good. I'll probably wind up replacing all four with some BFG KDWs....... Thanks!

hmmm, im not sure what to get now. how bout yokohama advans? thats what nismo is putting on all there Z's now. but arnt they very pricey?
The Advan Neovas are. They are OEM on Lancer Evos. My brother went through his really quickly. In fact, all Yoko Advan tires are EXPENSIVE. Grips hard though. Wow, this is totally surprising that Nissan is going OEM with Yokohama now as Nissan had traditionally run Bridgestone Potenza on their sports cars. I wonder if Nismo is going Yoko Advan in Super GT (JGTC). Wow, maybe this is a safety net with the feathering issue.

Actually, for Super GT, Nismo is still running Bridgestone Potenza as documented here on a recent 2006, Round 4 picture (tricky getting that URL for that pic).

The Endless team running Z's in the 300 class in Super GT are running Advans with their Enkeis.

BTW, it depends what line of Advans you want. I checked Discount Tire, and Neovas (AD07) are through the roof, but sizes are limited ($350 for 285/30/18). The Avan A032R that pretty much is on the majority of cars on the Best Motoring Vids are discontinued and replaced by the A048. Again, A048 are limited in sizes, but to get an idea, 265/35/18 for $268 on TireRack.

Best sizes for the LMGT4 18"ers are the ADVAN Sport line, 245/40/18 goes for $241 and 285/35/18 for $287 (275/40/18 not available) at TireRack.

Lastly, if you don't know, do not mistake Yokohama's AVS brand with their ADVAN brand. The thing that sucks about ADVAN tires are the sizes and PRICE. Good thing I did this research... might want to look at ADVAN Sport as my next set of tires. Falken FK-452 (I have 451s, but I hear 452s are better) are an alternative also. They are JDM, and a great value for the performance.

But it seems you like to have the Super GT influence in your car Gonna stick with Bridgestone since Nismo still uses them (as well as Ferrari in F1)?

The pics above are "preseason" testing pics, hence the decals and paint are incomplete. Again, as you already know, Nismo has always used Bridgestone during the competitive season.

This is actually a KONDO RACING WoodOne Z... not an acutal Nismo car (entrant). They actually have always had Yokohama/Rays tire and rim combination.
Click this link for full team info, where it states they use Yokohama 330/40/18 tires: http://www.supergt.net/supergt/2006/...06t024.shtm?dt
These team info pages actually have great information... I actually wanted the SSR Type-C rims on some of the old 300class (Hasemi) cars.

[/QUOTE]
The cars above may be just "one offs."
This link has the complete cars that they (Nismo) actually build for customers: http://www.nismo.co.jp/products/completecar/index.html
Seems like the only configuration that a true Nismo built Z33 that is available to "Joe Schmoe" is a "S-Tune GT" version. Click here: http://www.nismo.co.jp/complete/z_s-tunegt/spec.html for the "S-Tune GT" specificatins and it lists tires as Bridgestone S-03 Pole Postion (245/35/19f, 275/35/19r). The Z-Tune GTR uses Potenza RE01... not sure what the 400R or the S-Tune March uses default though.

So it seems Nismo does use Bridgestone for actual season races in Super GT. They have to have some sort of alliance like Ferrari/Bridgestone in F1 (Nismo/Bridgestone in Super GT).

Sorry for seeming to be an *** by the corrections...
I stand to be corrected if I'm wrong...
