Went up to SPL Parts last night to get my car after they installed the latest front upper caster/camber arms and got looking at the new 5Zigen Sports engine wheels. I'm tempted to get a set as the 350Z really does look better with larger wheels. 19x9.5 and 19x8.5 with a decent lip. Pretty much all my mods to date have been performance/track related so I might just get some show to add to the go. For the price I think these are pretty sweet wheels.

Can't decide between the Hyper Silver and the Hyper Black. I'm leaning towards the Black but thought I'd get a few opinions on here.

He also has a set of Do Luck Double-Six wheels there in 18x10 and 18x9(i think) They're beautiful and a steal at $2100 but too rich for my blood right now. Really wish I had the extra cash for these as they're only 19 or 20 lbs! Maybe someday...



Here's a pic of the Okuyama Carbing strut bar for the 350Z next to the 300zx one. I have one for my 300 and love it and wanted one for the 350 but couldn't get it to fit over the APS plenum. Too bad as it weighs hardly anything and being a solid piece it should be very rigid.

How much do the 5 Zigens weigh?

 

Either would look good with your car. I would do the silver.

 

I think they're about 27, maybe 28lbs.

 

I am probably going to get a set today.. anyone got any pics of hyper silver wheels vs hyper black wheels on a z?

 

From the pics above the black looks really sharp but all the depth is coming from the flash from the camera. would really like to see a pic of them without flash.

Silver it is.. sucks i won't be able to keep the TPS.. also sucks that person selling it is not selling it with the 25 offset and stag wheels.. =o

 

So are you buying the used ones on craigslist? If so that's def not the ideal offset and your wheels won't be close to flush with the fender. Not to mention you won't be able to run a very wide rear tire. Hard to beat that price though.

 

nah... i was just saying thats a good price and i hoped it was the right offset.. but i am going to get a new set with tires.. prob with the fk452's over the t1r's just caues its newer design.

 

I really liked the set of fk451's I had but no experience with the 452's or toyos.

 

Oh yeah, please post some pics when you have them installed. Might help my decision if I haven't bought a set yet.

 

sure bud, your pro racers looks pretty good.. but for some reason i think our car with our color looks sharp with multispoke wheels.

i had some 5zigen typhoons and they were semi light and look pretty good.. but the lip on that thing is not a chrome so only polish.. def not as sharp looking as these.

 

If someone has the 5zigen sports engine rims on their car, please post a picture, because I can't decide between hyper silver or hyper black.

Hyper silver for a Daytona Blue Z forsure.

 

I've got silverstone and i've been looking at these for a while. I think im going with hyper silver. ill post pics once i get them on. might take a while, im gonna try selling my stock rims and tires first for like, a dollar.
