Default TE37s Silver or Merc Silver on CS?

I got better than expected tax news and will be ordering some TE37s very soon. I have a Chrome Silver Performance and can't tell from pictures weather silver or mercury silver will look better? Please tell me your input!?! I have seen the regular silver on PPW and gunmetal on CS, but no pics of merc silver on CS. I like the look of the stock wheels, but would not mind the te37s being lighter...

I was ready to order a set of the TE37s in MS finish but then was told there is no MS finish for the TE37 right now, that is will a few months before I could get them in that finsihed the normal silver is to flat, it looks really dull. I esp dont think they would look good on your silver! my $0.02

After seeing this pic of the MS GT-C on a CS, I think I should order the MS TE37.

I heard they might not come out at all in Mercury Silver, at least in 19".

Default 19" Mercury Silver TE37s

You are correct about the 19 inch wheels. I have 18" versions that are currently available that will arrive around mid-April. I will post as soon as 19" becomes available. Contact me if you are interested and I will make it a priority to find out the information you need.

Also, the new flat TE37 centercaps for 19s are now available for bronze and silver versions.

mcclask,

most z owners have 22mm all around for 19x8.5 fronts and 19x9.5 rears on te-37s.

hope this helps,
john

Awesome wheels. Does anyone have these in the 18" in stock? How much? I think they would like good on the CS Z. John which NISMO shift **** are you looking at? I would like to see one installed.

Personally I think gunmetal would look better with a CS Z. The MS and FS don't seem to provide enough contrast. The colors almost seem slightly mismatched IMHO. See John350Z's PPW with gunmetal TE-37's. Now that is contrast.

Those are my silver TE-37s in that pic that John350Z attached. I think they look much better in person than they do in that pic. But those were available at the time, and me being an impulsive sort...

Honestly, my first choice would have been bronze or gunmetal for a PPW Z; however, I thought that the silver would look good as well. I figured bronze would be a common choice as a match for PPW. The silver would be a bit more subtle, a bit less brazen, more stealthy

I'm getting some Eibachs soon. Also got some BlackFire and WheelWax on the way as well. I will take some more pics once the springs are installed (they will lower the car .8/1.2 inches) and after I do some extensive detailing

The silvers aren't as 'flat' as some pics seem to make them appear - and I am happy with them. I definitely need to get some bigger rotors though - the stock touring rotors (11.65"/11.50") look puny and leave a lot of space inside the rim. I just did a Mega Millions quickpick run - so hopefully I'll be able to add some StopTechs (14+") soon

VQRacer has asked me for some hi-res pics for the gallery - I'll do my best to do these wheels justice. Much like the PPW (and the Z in general), most pictures don't do this car justice for the most part IMHO.

By the way John - is that a custom grill piece? It looks like you have some carbon fiber onboard that I haven't seen yet Also, I was going to order a Fujitsubo exhaust but am now leaning toward the Power Enterprise (quad-pipes) - don't want my Z to look too much like yours

Default PPW is beautiful...with TE37's

Gaaawd, I would have been very happy with a PPW (my 2nd color choice).... AND.......I love those wheels...

Was out on a drive on Sunday/March 23... warm, spring day.. when all of a sudden... boom -- spotted a PPW Z coming up on my tail with a license plate .. "33" -vs- my "350". Downshifted, and off we took, wiring the road together. Pulled off quickly -- to let him pass by..so we could begin the chase again.

As he passed, noticed he had bronze 19" TE37... which I have been dying to see.

He pulled off at a 7-11... treated him to some bottled water.. and we had a great talk about each other's car.

Looking at that PPW with 19" TE37... almost gotta have them in silver... flat silver. I think the flat silver is better looking - IMO - than the mercury silver (if/when they get produced).

It was a great day -- one of those... glad-to-be-alive experiences !
