I am getting a bit of a clicking, knocking kinda noise from my right rear wheel when I start to move from a stop. Anyone have any idea what this might be?

I am having my Nismo spring and shocks installed in 2 days so I am going to have the tech look at the same time.

 

It should just need some Grease and retightning...

brooke I have this same problem. It use to be a creaking noise then I sent it to a mechanic that said some things where loose in my rear end and tightened them now I get a clicking or knocking. What grease to use and where also what needs to be tightened?

 

sounds like the axle TSB to me

 

how can I fix it?

 

look up the TSB chart online and see if your car;s VIN number applies - if it does, bring it to the dealer and they will replace the necessary parts

 

don't wanna sound like a newb but what is the link to the TSB charts and does it matter if I have lowering springs and after market sways on my car?

 

no it wont...the tsb doesnt replace any of those parts

 

I saw the bulletin out for the clicking rear axles and when I called my Nissan dealer they told me it would not be covered b/c my warranty period is expired. Is that true even though its a defect in the vehicle?

Ok I found the bulletin at work today. (I sell at a Nissan Dealership) Anyway it says to grease the axle links and had a diagram. Our master tech is installing my Nismo suspension and Volk GT-Cs tonight and he said he'd do that aswell.

Also my car squeaks from the left rear wheel when I go around left turns. Do you guys think it is possible that its because my brakes are shot? My new discs are on back order so I am hoping they can do something in the intern to stop the squeal.
