I have put a deposit (refundable) on a set of Ruff Racing 279's, 19X8.5F 9.5R and I'm getting nervous about the added weight. Right now I have the track ed. Rays wheels. Has anyone else gone from the Rays to wheels of comparable size/weight? Is the effect of the weight noticable, and if so how much? Thanks.

Everything will be just... fine.... You won't feel a difference.

 

i havea set of ruffs on for about a week now, with bfgoodrichkdw 2....the ride so differnt from stock, i loove it though, so much grip! total confidence boosterand a major step up from stock....grip wise.

 

Noticeable once the AC is on but not by much.

 

you are not really going to notice the diff that much unless you track your car...

 

You lose a bit of power on the takeoff but if you get quality tires you will notice better handling with the sidewalls. You will be happy overall in the streets.

 

went from original 17' rims with potenza's (225's i think) to ruff 279's 8.5/9.5 with BFG KDW2's 245/285. handles soooo much better but a noticable difference in acceleration. but what do i care, i don't track or race the car, just has to look good, lol

 

You will gain much more than you have to lose...
