Tire Damage! Do I need to replace?
I recently found some tire damage on my front passenger side wheel...
I looks like a gash
It doesn't seem like air is leaking.
If i take it somewhere can they check it
Should I bother replacing it or it seem fine since its not loosing air?
The tire is a Nitto 555

I see a corresponding nick in the wheel. Possible damage from a pot hole. Should you replace the tire? I would not what to experience tire failure at 100mph. But that's just me.
I didn't look at the enlarged shot to start with, but have now. Man personally I'd be down at the tyre shop as soon as it opened. It looks like it's bubbled a tiny bit as well, judging by the shadows.

As your probably more than aware the ideal is to change all fours or both on the applicable axle, when changing tyres, but in your situation, given the damage, 5,000 miles isn't a lot, you may notice a very tiny bit of a difference. As long as you stick with the same brand and type of tyre, you should be okay as only reasonable minimal mileage.
Good luck with your replace tyre.
