Default Picking a tire installer, what type of mounting machine?

What type of equipment should I look for when picking a place to install my tires on my rims. Is the touchless mounter the one to look for?
Thanks,

The place that did mine has a huge Hunter Touchless tire mounter. I don't recall the model number. It has rollers than push the tire down over the lip of the rim.

Yes, any system is going to have something to hold the wheel in place. It's won't really harm anything since it clamps to the inner side of the wheel, not the outer (lip) side.

The roller is on an arm that extends out over the tire/wheel. The machine pushed down on the tire about 1" from the rim while the wheel rotates under it. That forced the edge of the tire over the lip. The old style machines required a bar to be placed between the tire and lip and the shaft up through the wheel hub spun the bar around and forced the tire over the lip. That bar is what would scratch the lip of your wheel.

Check out this and other pages on the Hunter website, it shows one of their systems:

That will give you an idea of what they do and how they do it.
