problems with axis hiros

Default problems with axis hiros

does anyone have any issues with cracking on their hiros?

im looking to purchase wheels within a month or two and im considering the hiros and ive heard stories that they tend to crack...is this true?

The company changed it's name to Craxis. JP They will be reimbursed if they do as the owner of the company will come in here to reassure us. There was a bad batch but I should think they have sort it through.

They had this issue before, but like the previous post says James Chen will replace the rim no questions asked

ive had the hiros on my supra for about a year no problems

I've read probably two or three threads where Axis rims cracked.

Mine are not cracked yet and I've had them for about 3 months.

But then again I haven't installed them yet either

Axis Hiros I love mine to death however I did hit a large metal object in the freeway and caused my rear wheel to break apart as shown below. I am not blaming the wheel structure at all whatever I ran over would probally have done damage to any wheel and the Hiros have held up very well so far.....I'd say get them


Now this is how they are supposed to look like on a Z

DAMN^^^, I have the axis spiders on my sol for about a year now and I havent noticed anything!

That looks like a super brittle fracture, even for a wheel that had a strong impact. Maybe that batch of wheels that had cracking issues was not heat treated correctly, or wasn't the correct microstructure?

I had axis hagen rims on my ... accord... they cracked! One is slightly bent and one has a crack
