Heard from someone that on these 350z's that on the front tires they wear out within 5k miles because of alignment issues, and there is not fix for it, is this true?

 

Yup, its partially true. Some say they dont dont have the problem anymore, some say they still do. Do a search, there is a TON of threads on this topic.

On tires, 03s and some 04s had feathering problems. I did not. Put 24,000 miles on firsy set & have 10,000 on current set with lots of tread left.

 

I dont have a Z yet, talking to the bank because i found the one i want to buy. 03 Black 6spd.
was just curious about this feathering problem. seems like some have it, some dont, but seems like there is a fix for it now?
