Dude F1 will come thru, Chris will do you right. Be patient I waited 5 months for my TE37 time attacks, and they are finally on the way. Just hang in there.

They didn't close down. They just moved their facilities to Phoenix, AZ. Chris no longer works there, though.

Ouch. Its the latest in internet retailing. Sell stuff that you do not have. Charge for items that have not been shipped. I recommend that everyone who orders anything include a note:

If you cannot ship on or before such-and-such date cancel my order and return my money.

I got my SF-Winnings from Chris earlier this year, I too waited 3 months and I was glad I did, because the wheels look fabulous. He's best guy I have ever dealt with in terms of ordering car parts. He's patience, he is nice, and he follows through. One shouldn't make negative comments about F1 or Chris without even dealt with him/them before.

just my .02

Regardless of the vendor is it is reasonable for anyone to be concerned when you get committments on dates of arrival, which are broken, and then after you inititate contact and don't get a response. If I put full payment on a product and was promised delivery I would be offended if the shop didn't contact me if delivery was changed. They have gained the opportunity cost on your money for over 3 months, and in this case you've paid interest on a CC purchase. IMHO there is no defense for poor customer service when you pay in advance, that behavior only demonstrates that the sale is tantamount, not the customer.

You have to pay before them filling out a special order of wheels from Japan. They need some incentive for some dude to walk in and ask for some Volk wheels. They just won't order them w.o paying a deposit first or anything. Some of you people don't understand.

Chris also gave me an option to pay down a deposit only, which I did also.

Some of you guys are taking this thread out of contex. I did not want to bash F1 at all. Chris seems like a nice guy. I was just getting nervous. I understand $hit happens. But when I call, and they tell me they don't know where the wheels are I get a little scared. I was hopeing to put my wheels on before the winter and my time is running out.

that's what happen when you pay full amount. People tend to not doing enough work when they are already paid.
You should've just made a deposit. Now, the shop has the obligation of getting the wheels if they want to make money.

People just needs to understand that the ETA is just an estimate, 3 months is the usual arrival time but sometimes its longer.

F1 seems to be reptuable so i wouldnt worry too much. I ordered some advans from Status and it ended up taking 5months. It is not the shops responsibility for the delay but the manufactuer's unless the shop failed to order it which causes a delay.
