Default if you had to do it again...

i've been contemplating on getting new rims or putting the stock 18" touring wheels back on my 03 brickyard. i got some adr m-sport 19" about a while back and have been seeing variations of them on a lot of z's and worst of all a 1990 4dr honda accord. yes a freakin ACCORD. don't get me wrong i used to have a 90 2dr accord ex and loved it but just the thought got to me.

anyways ever since i had the adr 19" on my z i feel it sluggish and lose about 20 miles per gallon. used to get around 350 miles per tank now only about 325 max. currently i have them on falken 245/35z/19 fronts and 285/35z/19 rears.

question: if you had to choose again would you go with some 18" or 19", which make rims, and the tire sizes for your fronts and rears?

If the size bothers you but you still want aftermarket, why not pick up a used set of Track rims or Nismo's? They are lighter then your Touring wheels, they are wider than your Touring wheels, and I'm sure you'll feel a small difference in acceleration.

having 19's makes it all worth it! If ur so concerned about ur miles per gallon, dont drive the car and save some gas $. By the way, their r 19 inch rims that r pretty light. Look into the light grams or volk le-te37s.

You mean miles per tank right?

It's not the size, so much as weight of the rims. Even the 18" stock rims are pretty heavy. Get the Nismo rims at about 18lbs each; you'll deff. notice the difference.

The second i put my 19's on I noticed a major difference. That night I went home and took out my spare. I miss my track wheels for the weights and all but I love my 19's! I wish I had the money for some GT-S's but cant justify 3500.00 for a set of wheels right now.

And they are $$$, not including tires.

Actually, you can get lightweight wheels and still see a loss in gas mileage and performance. The wider tires have a greater rolling resistance (drag).
