Are paint scrapes a potential problem on painted wheels?

Like the title says...Are paint scrapes a potential problem on painted wheels as far as the rest of the paint flaking off the wheel?

Yes, paint scrapes are a potential problem. Assuming you have a quality wheel, the paint shouldn't just flake off.

If you're referring to concern that the rest of the paint will start chipping off around a scrape once a scrape happens, then no, it shouldn't.

Yeah, that's what I meant...the scrape is around the edge where the center cap goes...thanks.

You know, you can always touch it up just like anyplace else on the car; just gotta find the paint match. Those touch-up guys that dealers have come out can do it too.

It's not a big deal...just wanted to know if the rest of the wheel's paint will flake off or not...They're rotas, bronze color...the scrape is maybe 1/2 inch in length, 1/4 inch width...thanks
