Default need help, stock studs and project kics spacers

Hi all,

I purchased 4 20mm project Kics spacers after doing some reseach and reading the forum. Here's my problem. The stock wheel studs are longer than 20mm. So when I installed the spacers, a bit of the stock studs pokes through (see photo).

Now, this is not a problem w/ stock wheels because of the indentations in the back of the stock wheels. So the stock wheel sits flush against the spacer.

The problem is that I am putting on some after market wheels next week, 18" sport max racing 962 wheels (8.5 front, 9.5 back). http://www.sportmaxwheel.com/sportmax_962.shtml#
The back of these wheels are flat, so the wheels will not be able to sit flush against the spacers.

What can I do? Other than getting 25 or 30mm spacers. I like the look of the 20mm spacers. Can I have the part of the studs cut off? Do I replace the stock studs? Can I machine the back of the wheels?? I appreciate any help you all can give me.

PS. Please don't flame me for buying "cheap" wheels. I like the look and am not concerned about the weight Just didn't know about the back of the wheels.

I have seen people either cutting them to fit (a blotchy work will ruin the studs, the spacer and the wheels... so be careful about it) and some others just take out the whole OEM studs somehow and get them replaced with a longer version... try doing a search as I believe there was a fresh thread about this somewhere.

Good luck!
C.

if i were you i would sell them and get the right side no reason to F*CK up your rims or studs when you can sell the one you got to someone and get the right thing for you.
