I did mine with a bat!!!! Old school! It worked great and was super easy. I was painting the car so I didnt have to worry about paint so I was fortunate there. But from my experience no tool is really needed, other than maybe the heat gun.
BTW I wanted to report that I drove around on my Volk GTFs for the first time friday and when I stopped to check out my wheels I noticed one of my Rays extended lugs fell off!!!! I torqued them meticulously by hand with a friend and I am 900% sure we didn't forget to tighten cause I was leery about these things from feedback I've heard about Rays lugs. Just wanted to share and let people and hopefully Rays Engineering know that their lugs are inexcusably horrible and this problem NEEDS to be addressed ASAP! I can't believe they dont even sell replacements!!!!

Hey...
guys. Just an FYI...I dropped on the NISMO S-tune this weekend and I am still good without a roll. Keep in mind it is .8 inch of a drop (20mm) so if you're going more, you will most likely have to roll in the rear.
The drop was perfect for my needs and I am loving it in combination with the Hotchkis sways. I have a about a finger in the front and exactly two in the back.

The little brown santa (UPS) dropped off my new set of wheels today, LE28n gloss black 19x9.5 +22 front, 19x10.5 +22 rear. I'll poSt pics eventually when i get tires mounted and they are on the car. But in the meantime I will say that I now understand why these wheels are so expensive and why so many people want to have them. The wheels really are a work of art and part of me doesn't even want to mount tires on them. When they are brand new they are just so clean and unmolested, and I know it won't take long to accumulate all sorts of rock chips and brake dust burned into the clear coat on the machined lips. Part of me wants to put them on display somewhere in my house so that they never get beat up, but that's an expensive conversation piece.
Oh well. Hopefully by next week I'll have tires, and then I'll post back with some pics.
EDIT: By the way I put one of the rear wheels on our scale out back and it weighed it at 20.5 lbs......awesome!

295's are cheaper than 285's?
Also it totally depends on the wheel's offset whether it will rub or not, but I am guessing you're around the +25 or lower offset range. 295/30 will probably rub. I am about to put on 285/35/19 on a 19x10.5 +22 wheel and I'm pretty sure it will rub without rolling fenders.

yes. i guess they sell alot more of 295..typical Porsche size
i have +22 offset im pretty sure. no 285 wont rub.. i have that now.. when i take a long fast turn with a passenger i can hear that it rubbs...but that was before my stillen sway bars.. i havent noticed since.
i WANT to roll my fenders but they that do it here in my town (BMW fanatics) dont want to do it. they say they are sure it will crack my paint... damn swede´s

And yeah, it probably will crack your paint. I think that's an inherent risk with fender rolling, but if it's done right (i.e. on a hot day, or by using a heat gun) and if the rolling is done gradually, the paint should be relieved enough to minimize cracking and prevent the paint from flaking off or anything. I had the fenders rolled on my previous car and I could see some light spider-webbing in the paint on the rolled portion, but it never flaked off and never progressed. I am hoping for the same result on the Z.
