I am sorry, I don't understand your post.

What about the above mentioned tires? Have you put them in the order or their performance? Good to Bad?

Typically, if the tire is damaged on the crown (edge), then it's not repairable. That being said, $380 for an OE tire is stupid.

Why would you take any car, even a brand new one, to the dealer for a tire repair. No warranty I am aware of covers things like tires. hmmmm... live and learn I guess.

You can plug a tire on the edge as long as theres tread, Its not recomended but you can. If its the sidewall then the tires no good. as long as the nail went in where there is tread You can plug it, "Tech" makes a great plug that lasts the life of your tire. I have had much sucess using their product, Unline a patch, these are made from the same compound as your tire and as you drive down the road it melts and molds with the tire.

You need to take your foot up that dealership's azz.
I'd call BBB on them. Rattle their cage a bit.

When in doubt, violence still solves PLENTY of issues. LOL

Yes, if the nail is anywhere near the sidewall you cant get it plugged. Youll need a new tire. But never go to the dealer for that.

I would have put the spare on(that's what they are for) and driven to someplace more reasonable...if on principle alone. Sorry for the bad luck, but your post makes a point of reminding us that this could happen at anytime and we should have a plan, like knowing what kind of replacement tires we want, where to get them and how much, so we are prepared when we get into a bind like this. Thanks

Someone brought this back from the dead!

The price sounds about right for a dealer. They have to pay for their tire feathering issue somehow!

I also had that same problem when I bought my Z.
Had a nail/screw in my rear driver side tire.
Dealership wanted 380 as well...

i would never put stock tires back on my car. for that much, you're more than 1/2 way to a new set of tires.
