Default Opinions on: Nitto NT-01 tires

Id like to hear some opinions on the Nitto NT-01 tires. How are they compared to Azenis RT-615's? Im looking to go for the 245/40-18 front and 275/40-18 rear. Im thinking of mouting them on some Work Emotion CR Kai 8.5 +20 and 9.5 +20... or would it look nicer on 9.5 +20 on all four corners? I really like the concave spokes on those wheels.

NT-01's are a full R-compound tire with a 100 treadwear. The 615's are a street tire with 200 treadwear.

I use the NT-01's on my track/autcross set of wheels. They are grippier than the 615's but require some level of warming up. And like any r-compound after a few hundred miles you're practically running on slicks...very noisey, not good for street.

As for the wheels, if you run the 9.5's in the front with that offset use a 245 tire to clear fender. I ran a 275/18 on the front with 9.5 +22 and it rubbed...had to flare the fenders a bit.

Do they even come in those sizes? I have RT-615s and love them.

The RT-615's come in 245/40-18 which is perfect for the front, but they dont make anything close to a 275/40-18 for the rear. http://www.falkentire.com/rt615_sizes.html

Im tempted to try the 255/40-18, but i did that on my Nitto 555's and i think the larger diameter in the back tires shifter more weight to the front. It slightly threw the car's blance out IMO.

I'm running 235/40-18 in front and 255/40-18 in back. Balance is perfect, stock stagger is maintained and these tires actually run a bit wide; the tread widths are equivalent to 245 and 265 in some other brands. I love the setup and have not yet found the limits of grip on the street.

Cool thanks!

And i got mixxed up on my last post. I was thinking 255/45-18 on my old Nittos. I think i can live with a 255/40-18 though.

The NT01's are definitely better gripping tires but if you actually look at their treadlife, it isn't meant for the street.

ST615's are awesome. I run them all around 265/35/18F and 275/35/18R.

No, I don't have extra wheels. Sold the stockers a while back because they no longer fit.
