Default Wheel wieght

I have an 06 enthusiest, and i am getting serious with autocross, i cant afford much, but want 245/275. Ok so i searched and the stock 06 wheels seem to be 26 pounds, i am looking at asa jh8's they wieght 23 18x9.5, do you guys think this is too heavy, will i regret it in your opinions, Also people told me if i put race tires on them, they will bend. Is that true.....

Is this combination for the street and autocross? Consider 17-inch wheels. Lighter and less expensive.

Yeah. If you want them just for autocross you should just consider 17s. In case you get really serious down the road you are going to want R compounds and 17's are easier and cheaper to get tires for. Where are you located in CT?

Ridgefield. Yeah its street/autocross, i am pretty serious....but i dont like the look of 17's nor could i find wheels i liked in that size, i might consider it. How about the asa wheels bending With R compounds in turns

ASA wheels? Yuck.

Maybe try the Enkei RPF1

They are the cheapest good quality lightweight wheel I can think of at the moment.

Hit up Performance Nissan, they sell Enkei

I personally think though, you shouldn't be concerned with wheel weight so much as your driving.

yeah my driving has been quite good, im young but am allready coming to a point where im beating guys with much better cars on race tires, i grew up racing shifter carts, 125 and 250, then enduro, I won 1 championsip, and have many 1st place finishes i have done driving schools. I also get to go out on the track with porsche gt3 cup winner Wolf Henzler due to the fact that i work for farnbacher loles a porsche race team that won the 24 hours of le mans. i just needed more opinion from people who have the car and who might have tried differing weight wheels
