What's the point of going 19' 9.5&10.5 against 8.5&9.5?

Looks. There are alot of threads that would argue any performance benefits.
Bigger wheel usually means additional unsprung weight and more rotational mass.

Depends. Been a while since I went to Physics class, but more rotation weight means more power is needed to get the wheels moving. Granted it would have to be a significant weight difference.
But your right about wider wheel/tire equals more traction.

mostly for look. I got 18X9 and 18X10 for looks and go. The wheels are light to begin with so having an extra inch in the back isn't that harmful. I dont know why though, people put a 275 tire on a 10.5'' rim. Thats pretty crazy. My 275 looks pretty stretched. If i could get this same look w/ a 9 in the front and 9.5 in the rear i would've done that.

Looks and versatility.
I can get a pretty wide tire with a 10.5 wheel but still fit a 275 with no problem.
I figured....
"Fug it, I'm already going with a 19" wheel! Aggressive width to match!"
How about those SUV guys that stick 22" wheels on their trucks, then have like a 7" wide wheel. Ugh...why go that big if you're going to have little traction and contact patch for braking.
