Cost me about $100 to have the fenders cut professionally......nice straight line and properly sealed to guard against rust, etc.

But yeah with out the right camber your just sporting the those for show. You need the optimal camber for that big contact patch. Im for one am sticking to 305's with the right camber.

I definately considered it the wheels for a good while and even went as far as adjusting my budget to see how I would pay for them. But the more I searched and the more I read, it just wont work with out a true wide body. Not an over fender but an actual metal fab wide body. Then you are more than able to get the right camber to get all that patch level. All being said this is straight line line camber.

Any one have the run ups for the contact patch and camber under lateral acceleration (Heavy Turns). This will be more than benificial for heavy trackers, they can stay on the gas longer in the turn and get on it sooner out of the turn. Simplified equates to more patch in the turn = more grip = the greater the entry and exit speed = much faster lap times. Or is my logic flawed?

^^ thats a photochop...

295, 305 and 315s are all possible on a Z with the right rim, offset and fender modications. A 11.5" wide rim will work, but it will stick out given the fact it needs a little room between the tire sidewall and shock absorber.

This is my setup... 12"+ wide tire on a 19x10.5" rim @ +29. My Z has been dropped roughly 5/8" and the camber was adjusted to -1 only. For my particular setup and staggered tires, (-1' camber in rear) has improved the balance of the car and given me better tire wear.

Agreed ...... but the 295 will be stretched a bit on the 11.5" wheel when compared to the 10.5" wheel and will fit differently.

Update:

After test fitting some R&D wheels from RAYS (Click Here For Pics), it looks like the most logical choice is to go with a 18x11 +25. We can run a lower offset for a more aggressive fitment but I know most of you who are interested in this wheel want the widest tire for traction issues. With the 18x11 +25, fitting a 305 tire shouldnt be any problems, you probably dont even have to roll your fenders. With the +18, there was still about 2 fingers of length from the wheel/tire to the shock body so a +25 should be good enough.

Feedback is welcomed.
