Sorry if this is something normal but do you guys ever have the SLIP light go on after a turn and you didn't even take it fast? This happens rarely but after I take light turns on the freeway, the SLIP light goes on and when I step on the gas it feels weird as if its not progressing forward normally. Can anybody tell me possibilities of why this may happen? I have a stock 2004.5 and barely got it from the dealer about 2-3 weeks ago. thanks

SLIP is sensitive to seams in the road, patches and uneven road surface. Traction suffers when the road surface is below 40 degrees.

good point. I noticed that today. We're hitting in the high 30's. SLIP kept activating in 1st and 2nd when it normally wouldn't. I just ended up turning it off for the remainder of my commute.

i have a 2005 350ZR and once i was entering the highway and the light came on a few times any type of cracks or if the road becomes a little uneven the light then the slip will kick in. it has happend a few times with me so i think its normal to be honest.

With more time behind the wheel, you will be able to make judgments about the road surface. 40 degrees and a sunny day is better than the same temperature on a cloudy day. Evenings and high humidity can be perilous. The road is covered with condensation.

The SLIP light can also come on when you're rear tires are worn and the fronts are relatively OK. The front-to-rear tire diameter ratio that keeps VDC happy falls outside of tolerance and triggers the light.

Check the rubber on the rear, they might need replacing.
