Default widest tire for an 8.5" rim?

I have 18x8.5 +25 on the front, and right now im running the normal 245/40 but its just to thin for me, whats the widest possible tire I could run on it without any issues?

id like to run a 265/40 on front and keep my 275/40 in rear, would that work?

Thanks for the link, so unless somebody states otherwise i guess 255 is the fatest i should go..

i did search btw, had no luck..

If you want more rubber on the ground why not a wider wheel?
