35th Anniversary/ 2006 Wheel Specs and Tire Upgrades?
Ok, I have searched and searched and searched. I found one thread talking about 18x8 (all around) wheels found on the 2005 touring. For the 35th Anniversary and 2006 Z's what is the specs? F-8 R-8.5? What is the widest I can run in the rear? I am trying to eliminate some of the understeer (I miss my s2000
).
To eliminate understeer, you need to have the same size tires front and back. Part of Nissan's engineering understeer into the car was by using narrower tires in the front.
Personally, I'd suggest living with the understeer on the street and save the understeer for the track or autocross course.

And no I cant just live with it on the street. After driving the s2000 for two years the handling on the Z is pathetic at best.

245s on the front.
Narrower tires = less grip = that end slides more.
Sorry, I started to write one thing and ended up with another. It should have been "save the neutral handling for the track or autocross."

Less stagger between front and back will result in less understeer. So something like 275/285, or 265 around would be good.
However, running those sizes will likely result in VDC issues.

whats vdc...lol...never use that **** anyways...
I leave VDC on when I'm driving on the street.
It's off when I'm on course.
It's saved my butt a few times late in autumn when there's been wet leaves on the street, but I notice that I almost respond quicker than the computer. I guess that's what happens when you spend a lot of time working on car control on an autocross course.

Nah he needs to keep the cupholder full with a bottle of alcohol and it wont give as much keeping the body stiff, or he can just put the rear tires on the front and the front on the rear, it would look really cool.
