Anyone ever had their stock wheels chrome plated. Saw add for East Coast plating, can get stock wheels chromed for $6oo. Anyone have any experience with this company or others.

Question

Can you even chrome plate aluminum? I thought it was just for steel.

Aluminum should be stripped and polished -- same appearance without peeling chrome in the future.

a local dealer here in AZ chromes the stock wheels.

I don't think it looks all that great... makes the car look like a hot wheels die cast toy.

Default Chrome wheel drawbacks

Adds weight, susceptible to corrosion from brake dust, tends to flake or chip.
