Default Wheels too big?

My Service Engine Soon light came on and a trouble code showed up when Nissan took a diagnostic(I don't know the exact number),the said that my wheels are too big for my 2004 Enthusiast,my wheel and tire dimensions are the following:Wheels Front:18X8.0 +20mm offset
Rear:18X9.0 +26mm offset
Tires Front:245/40ZR-18
Tires Rear:275/40ZR-18
Does Nissan have a valid claim that this is causing a problem?
Are there any specific rules that nissan has according to tire and wheel size combinations for my car?

The size doesn't matter. The diameter of the tires has an effect on TCS/VDC but neither of them would throw a CEL. I'd ask for the code just to know what it is before passing judgement but from the sound of it, total BS on the part of the dealer.

Well at least now you know you have a dealer you can't trust for service. Did they also check your aftermarket air freshener to see if it was fckn up your heat/AC?

your sizes/ratios seem to be ok. You didnt go too extreme.

275/40 for the rear is the right sidewall height, probably could go with a 245/45 for front. 245/43 is the correct height, but they dont make a 43, but 43 is closer to 45 then 40. But you still "have" to keep the tcs vdc happy. I run 245/40 all around w/o vdc problems. It may not catch slip as quick, but it still works.

Agree. The Enthusiast has TCS. TCS is very forgiving of tire height. Your tires are fine.
