Default "Water spotting" on new LE37Ts

Hey,

I just got a set of g black LE37Ts and I noticed that the lips don't have an exactly uniform/ perfect finish. It seems that they have a bit of spotting on them (sorta like water spotting). I seem to remember others on this forum with the same problem. I wanted to know from some of you if this is normal for the LE line of wheels from Volk. Did you have a perfect finish on your LE lips?

Thanks,
David C.

it sounds more like oxidation, than water spots.

Yeap, depending on the angle you look at them, they all appear to have some discolored spots or area, almost like soap bubbles.

Never washed them. They're brand new.

Yes, they are clearcoated. The "diamond" cut that is the LE37T finish results in the pattern we are seeing. It's not in the clearcoat or on the surface. You can't wash, claybar or polish it away.
