Powdercoating forged parts is talked about at length on metalurgy/industry forums too since this comes up often on automotive forums, with the same response. Oh, and if you ever bend a forged wheel, that's how it's going to be straightened.
Many Scooby guys have their wheels powdercoated and have no problems after hours of track use. Don't go to Joe Schmo and you'll be perfectly fine.<!-- / message --><!-- / message -->

My buddy painted his stock rims but got some nicer aftermarket ones so he gave me them. I sanded them down, then wet sanded and painted with black primer then high temp paint. They are really smooth, he did a good job.

hey guys i'm planning on powdercoating my stock track rays engineering wheels black. i'm trying to find some volk racing/rays engineering decals to stick on them after their done. anyone got any leads on that kind of thing?
i've looked everywhere but heard that you can't buy them anywhere. is that true?
i'll post some pics in a couple of weeks when the wheels are back on my car.

Thanks...
Ok thanks for the correction. Anyone know where I can find some Rays Engineering stickers for the track wheels I am planning on powdercoating in a week or so?
